Cheri D. Brown, DC, LPAc.
Founder & Holistic Bodywork Practitioner
Cheri D. Brown, DC is dedicated to providing the tools for her patients to learn to heal themselves. She treats each patient and case individually, spending time with each patient to talk about many aspects of health. Looking at the overall view of her patient’s wellness, such as stress, digestion, sleep patterns, physical symptoms, and mental and emotional health, leads to a better understanding of the root of the problem and helps her to create, together with her patient, a unique approach to wellness and balance.
Dr. Brown has a Bachelor’s degree in Massage Therapy and has been practicing massage since 1996. She received her doctorate in chiropractic medicine in 2008 from Western States Chiropractic College. She holds chiropractic licenses in Indiana and Oregon. Dr. Brown continued with her postdoctoral education at National University of Health Sciences studying functional rehabilitation, and the International Academy of Chiropractic Acupuncture in traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture. She has training in BodyTalk, through the International BodyTalk Association and CranioSacral training through the Upledger Institute, Ad Humanitas and the Academy of Wholistic Manual Medicine.
Dr. Brown believes connecting with ourselves in relation to nature is an integral part of healing our wounds and traumas. She weaves a theme of nature and the cycles of the seasons into her meditation practice and facilitation, as a certified Yoga Nidra instructor. She is excited to be on a path of study and healing bringing humans and horses together utilizing Equine Assisted Learning and Coaching through the Academy of Coaching With Horses and Trauma Informed Equine Assisted Learning through Natural Lifemanship.
For Dr. Brown, moving toward balance is a lifelong process! It is exciting to think we can continuously learn and grow, becoming more present in our bodies and conscious of the world around us. Dr. Brown has spent years teaching patients and massage students how to increase their awareness of themselves and how they can safely touch the world through other people and animals. Her passion is to educate individuals about health, wellness and decreasing stress on themselves, others, and the planet in a safe, supportive environment.
Dr. Mark Ellison
Chiropractic Physician / Licensed Physical Therapist
Dr. Ellison began his health care career following graduation from The Ohio State University School of Allied Medicine with his degree in physical therapy. As a Physical Therapist, Dr. Ellison continued his post – graduate studies, learning a wide range of treatment and rehabilitation techniques allowing him to maintain a broad scope of practice which included orthopedics, neurological rehabilitation, and manual therapy.
During his career in physical therapy, Dr. Ellison served as Clinical Director for two well known Greater Cincinnati outpatient orthopedic centers. He also had the privilege of working with members of the Cincinnati Ballet and was the Physical Therapist on call for The Broadway Series performers, cast, and crew while on tour. Dr. Ellison was a guest lecturer for the athletic training program at Miami University Ohio, teaching Anatomy and basic rehabilitation.
While practicing physical therapy, Dr. Ellison happened upon the world of chiropractic care and became fascinated with the concept of using the human body to heal itself without the use of traditional medicine. Dr. Ellison loved that chiropractic application allowed him to get to the root cause of health conditions, as opposed to only treating the symptoms. Dr. Ellison knew he could use this new understanding to further benefit his patients’ health, so he attended Logan University School of Chiropractic where he graduated Summa Cum Laude and was the class Valedictorian.
Since graduating from Logan University School of Chiropractic, Dr. Ellison has taken a special interest in Functional Medicine, as he believes Functional Medicine is the keystone to true and complete wellness. Dr. Ellison continues to grow his skills and understanding of complete wellness through practical application and continuing education, to best serve his patients. Dr. Ellison has a passion for serving others by helping them to achieve their best health possible.
Chiropractic Physician / Licensed Professional Acupuncturist
Steven J. Seele, DC and L.Ac. is a chiropractor and medical-acupuncturist dedicated to helping those in pain lead normal, active, and healthy lives. He graduated Magna Cum Laude receiving his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. He served his externship at the Palmer Clinics in Davenport while also working as a Clinical Teaching Assistant. He has received training in multiple adjusting techniques and therapies such as Diversified, Gonstead, Thompson, Activator, and Cox-Flexion/Distraction. He is committed to providing thorough, gentle and effective chiropractic care for the whole family. In addition to his work as a chiropractor, Dr. Seele is also a licensed Acupuncturist. He received his training from the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture.
Dr. Seele is passionate about serving others. While in clinical training at Palmer College, Dr. Seele traveled to Nepal to bring chiropractic care to the under-resourced. Born and raised in Delphi, Indiana, Dr. Seele has been a resident of Howard County since 1984 and has served our community in the funeral industry and as a Reserve Deputy Sheriff for the Howard County Sheriff’s Department for many years. Since 2017, Dr. Seele has served as the Howard County Coroner.
On his down time, you’ll find Dr. Seele enjoying time at the lake, camping, or traveling on his motorcycle.
Kim Smith, MA, CADAC II
Counselor-Behavioral Health / Meditation Teacher
In 2017, Kim Smith began his journey into meditation to help with his own stress and anxiety. He has since become a passionate advocate for mindfulness as an extremely effective means for improving health and well-being. Since 2001, he has served as a Counselor in Behavioral Health. He holds an M.A. in Community Agency Counseling and a B.A. in Psychology from Siena Heights University.
He is a level 2, iRest Meditation Teacher in Training. His classes emphasize safety and self-honoring as he guides students to build resilience and strengthen their mindfulness skills.
Kim is deeply grateful for the healing he has experienced through the practice of meditation. He enjoys encouraging others to live with greater compassion toward themselves and others through the practice of mindfulness.
Licensed Massage Therapist
Lisa DeLeon, BS, LMT is a Kokomo Native. She earned a BS in Athletic Training from Anderson University. After college, she taught at Eastern High School and served as the athletic trainer for 10 years.
Lisa wanted to help people by doing something new, yet build on the knowledge of healing she already had. In 2012 the Carmel School of Massage caught her attention, she enrolled and in 2013 earned her Massage Therapist Certification.
After graduating, Lisa taught at Carmel School of Massage for 3 years. From 2018 to 2020, Lisa worked on the Purdue University Campus in West Lafayette, Indiana at the Students’ Athletic Center. Even with all of the challenges in 2020, Lisa maintained a busy practice. Lisa has also run her own business, I Feel Better Mobile Massage, in which she gave massages in clients’ homes.
Lisa has always enjoyed helping people, by listening to the body and assessing how to help each client feel better. She is a lifelong learner and finds joy in putting the pieces of the puzzle back together.
In her free time, Lisa enjoys crocheting, puzzles, outdoor activities, and catching up with her friends on social media. She resides in Howard County with her husband, Gene of 16 years, and son Jake.

New patient chiropractic appointments last between 30-45 minutes depending on practitioner and patient need and follow-up appointments are between 15-30 minutes on average.
New patient acupuncture appointments last from 60-90 minutes and follow-up appointments are about 45-60 minutes.
